Explore the breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches and coastal walks close to Noyadd Trefawr
Explore Ceredigion’s rugged coast line…
Noyadd Trefawr is ideally positioned for exploring the best of West Wales. It nestles in the low, rolling dairy-farm land of Ceredigion and is approached via high-hedged single lanes that direct your gaze up to the wide open skies.
Five miles from us you can find the sandy beaches of Aberporth and Tresaith and in 7 or 8 miles you arrive at Mwnt, Penbryn, Llangranog, Poppit Sands or Cymtudu. All these are stunning beaches with excellent walking on the Ceredigion coastal path. Further up the coast is New Quay – where Dylan Thomas based his ideas for Llareggub – perhaps the best place for taking boats out to spot dolphins and seals.
Discover the beauty of West Wales
Our river Hirwaun is a tributary into the stunning River Teifi which can be seen at its most dramatic at Cenarth Falls or widening as it meets the sea in Cardigan and out through St Dogmaels. Walk the banks of the river and look out for kingfishers, or take a canoe or paddleboard down to the coast.
Castles can be explored at Cilgerran, Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Nevern; medieval abbeys at St Dogmaels and Strata Florida; stone age burial chambers at Pentre Ifan and a reconstructed Bronze Age settlement at Castle Henllys.

Theatre Mwldan in Cardigan offers a 3 screen cinema and live theatre. Further afield, visit Aberystwyth - a UNESCO city of Literature. Cardigan also hosts several festivals throughout the year including the ‘Other Voices’ music festival in October and its annual lantern festival in December.
Wildlife
Ceredigion is rich in wildlife, from the dolphins, seals and seabirds of Cardigan Bay to the otters, kingfishers and curlews found along the Teifi river, wetlands and woodlands inland. Coastal paths, estuaries and countryside make the area a rewarding place for nature lovers year-round.
